This month CyberGuru were proud to be associated with the Tourism, Hospitality and Events (THE Conference) and the annual QLD Schools VET Conference.
Jessie Jeffery, CyberGuru’s Business Development Guru, presented on “Social media and the hospitality & tourism sectors: where to next?” at THE Conference, where she spoke about the importance of social media to the hospitality and tourism sectors, as well as ways of including it in the school curriculum. The presentation was very well received and because of this the Queensland Government is currently considering a request to add the Online Engagement for Small Business skill set to their list of subsidised training packages. If you would like further information on this please feel free to contact us.
Also, this month CyberGuru sponsored the annual QLD Schools VET Conference. We had significant interest in our materials for the Certificate III in Information, Digital Media and Technology, as this qualification will be soon recognised and may contribute to a student’s ATAR for university entry. (For those who are unaware, the current OP system will be scrapped and the ATAR system will be brought in for students graduating year 12 from 2020 onwards, see the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority website for details.)
CyberGuru aims to assist schools with this transition by providing learning materials, professional development and industry validation. For more details, please visit our Education and training website.
If we can assist you in this area please feel free to contact us.
