Cyber Security Awareness Month is recognised in October each year as a reminder to stay secure online, both professionally and personally. The theme of this year’s Cyber Security Awareness Month is “Cyber security is everyone’s business”.
The Australian Cyber Security Centre continues to advise that that the number of reports for cyber crime is increasing, and malicious activity poses a risk to Australians. They advise of four steps to improve your Cyber security:
- Turn on multi-factor authentication.
- Keep your devices and software up to date.
- Use strong and unique passwords, such as a passphrase.
- Recognise and report phishing.
