On the evening of Wednesday 8 June 2016, I attended the Digital Brisbane Speed Networking Event, held at The Loft, located in West End, Brisbane.
This is the fourth Digital Brisbane Speed Networking event I have attended since their introduction in 2013. It was an opportunity for both collaboration and networking between around 100 guests to find our “digital match”, by meeting with a range of organisations are seeking suppliers or partners in the digital space.
Over an hour and a half, I met individually with seven “dates” for about eight minutes each, across a range of sectors. I sought to understand what they were seeking and see whether I could address these needs, provide some general advice or recommend another organisation who may be able to assist.
I have been successful in obtaining new clients and referrals through previous Digital Brisbane Speed Networking Events, and appreciated the opportunity to participate in this great initiative again this year. I look forward to meeting with the new found matches over the coming weeks.
