As noted in our blog post in February, we wished to provide an update on the email authentication changes brought in by Google and Yahoo.
Over the past few months, we have worked with many clients to ensure to the delivery of the email to reduce the likelihood and impact of the cause of this.
This month, the next stage of these changes will commence with Google and Yahoo beginning to reject emails which it classifies as non-compliant. If an email is deemed as non-compliant then it may not be delivered.
To ensure your emails are marked as compliant, users must have three specific email authentication technologies in place (DKIM, SPF and DMARC) as well as low spam rates.
For bulk senders, these emails must also include a ‘one-click unsubscribe’ link to ensure subscribers can easily remove themselves from lists.
Please note that while the current priority of new guidelines is companies which send bulk emails, these changes apply to all businesses. Any organisation which begins to receive feedback that their emails are not being delivered should check their current setup as a matter of urgency.
We are continuing to support clients with these important changes to ensure their email systems are able to successfully deliver to their recipients.
